Painting completion

This is the picture of my sister that I had painted. I didn't paint the center of the picture, that being my sister, because I thought I would bring a centralized feeling to the center and to just look at the line work of the piece. I do like this piece but I feel that the blue lines that I had at the bottom of the page I thought I was gona cover it up through the completion of the piece... but behold it didn't do that. I was also feeling really impatient upon completion which could have lead to it being rushed and maybe not as good as it could have been, overall I would like to think of this piece as a small look into the art of painting scenery.

What I've been working on

This is my peice of my sister that is finished and has been sprayed to finish. I enjoyed making this peice, if I had to make another one I would make it lighter because after getting sprayed it darkened.... overall I do like the darker touch to it, but I would just like to see what it would look like if it were to be a lighter shade then it was sprayed.

Reide in progress

This is the latest update to my painting of my sister. I am having fun drawing this right now, I feel as though this piece is going to be successful. I can't wait until the completion of this piece, my sister is also excited to see the completion of this piece... I will probably give this piece, if it's a success, to my sister.

Reide sketch

This was my base sketch I had drew out of my sister. This was originally posted on my snapchat, thus the writing on the picture.

Reide test template

This is the template for my painting of my sister. I had to mix colors and place them on this piece of Matt board to make sure when I started painting I wouldn't make as many mistakes.

Ballerina

I made this ballerina toes on a whim, I like the piece nonetheless. It took me at least 1-1/2 classes to sketch out the outline. When I had it first done it was messy and I was fine with that. I disliked the whole project, but then I was told to finish it... so I did. I feel like I could get a deeper shadow into the piece to create a better contrast.

Blue dye slip pot

This is my pot, I threw it on the wheel and then covered it with blue dyed slip, after getting fired I was happy with how the colors looked so I just put a clear glaze over top to give it a shine like gloss glaze. I am happy with the outcome of this piece and think it was very successful, I was going to throw a lid to sit in the opening as I made a lip on the inside of the piece, where the lid would lay, but being as I broke my arm the very next day I have been unable to do so.

Buddha painting in the works

This is the start of my piece or Buddha, I decided against coloring the piece as you would traditionally do and instead I went with a Pablo Picasso style of painting the piece. The piece is still unfinished, I hope to have it done in a weeks time. I think i am on the correct path with how I am painting it. I think I will do more things like this piece in the future, I can't wait till I finish it.

Watercolor fail dog

This is what ive been working on for the past couple of days.
The watercolor peice to the left is my first draft peice I was and still am quite frustrated with the drawing u chose to watercolor. So I made the left drawing as an attempt to get an idea on how I am going to color the peice on the right.
For the peice on the right I am still unsure of how to paint it I am trying new ideas and honestly just trying to get through the project as I nolonger am finding any enjoyment in doing this peice I just wish to move on. So far I do not like painting all that much but I could all just be due to the idea I choose to color.

Artists I've looked at

Current artist I like to look at: https://youtu.be/QfIPd1rSmhI

I frequent looking at abstract artists of older times such as Robert Delaunay and Aurther Dove, artists such as these are just cool to look at and are interesting to behold.
