This was my cultural inspired peice. I did make it at the time just to get a grade but after it being made and looking back on it, i really do like it. I used a white matte glaze for the base and painted on a Japanese symbol meaning trust. This one was a little bit rushed also. So if I had a chance to go back I would just take my time with it and just put more of myself into it and not so much of a project. But with that being as it may, I enjoyed it and I enjoyed making it but its still not my favorite.

This peice is one of the plates that i tried to make and it floped, i just was able to make somthing out of this one. This one didnt really have any type of refrence besides that i wanted to make a plate for it. I dont mind it but its not my favorite that why i allowed one of my friends to glaze it and do with it whatever she wanted. So cant wait to see what that looks like. But if i were to try agian i would instead of a mistake i would much rather make the peice on purpose and spend my time glazing it but i was feeling lazy that day so what you gona do. Over all it ok not my favorite but i defenatly dont hate it. Just wishing i could have done more with it to change it up or make it more interesting.
bowl tie
This is my bowl which i transformed and cut into. I coiled out a little peice of clay then wrapped it to keep together the two peices i cut. Im still waiting on a glaze firing to see the final product but this is what it looks like with the laze on it. I am waiting to see what it really looks like. I got this idea from a picture that was in my teachers computer screen and decided i wanted to try to recreate the peice i had seen. We didnt have the exact glazes so i wanted to go with a glaze desine i saw while i was pintrest. I used a stone texture blue glaze for the outside and a turquoise glaze on the inside. With a bright yellpw for the rope that holds together the two cut out peices. Overall i like this peice and i am pleased if i had a choice i would have just really taken my time to profect the peice and to just give it my full attention.
